Help

The best way to learn is watching the video. It’s pretty intuitive, and playing is much more fun than reading a boring manual. If you get stuck, or need more information, here are some helpful tips. Once you get the hang of it, scroll down this page and read about the hidden features that will make you more productive.

The Account Page
This is the account page you'll get when you register as a user.

“Share” link
Use this tool to share your image with your friends and family. They can even make color suggestions. Don’t worry, you’re the only one who can save the changes.

“Delete” link
Use this to delete an image.

Menu items:

Photos>Upload...
Use this to upload a new photo from your computer. If you have a free account, you can upload only one photo. If you upgrade to a premium account, you can upload up to 10 photos.

Photos>Grab from the web...
This lets you import photos that you’ve stored on Flickr or Facebook.

Account>Status
Pops up a window showing the current status of your account.

Account>Upgrade...
Use this to upgrade from a free account to a premium account.

Account>Delete...
This will delete your entire account. Please be careful!

The Image Editor
There are three ways to access the image editor:
1) click “Paint Now” on the home page,

2) select “Upload” in the “Photos” menu on your account page, or

3) click any photo icon on your account page.

Tools:
Bucket
Use the bucket to apply new paint to a surface. If you want to change the color you applied, click on the surface again to bring up the color browser and pick a new shade.

Brush and Eraser
The brush gets into the corners and edges that the bucket may have missed. The eraser gets rid of mistakes. You can change the size of both tools by double-clicking their icons. Press the “Shift” key to draw a straight line (note that this doesn’t work in full screen mode).
Undo
Click the “Undo” button to undo the last thing you did.
Garbage Can
To remove a color swatch from your work space, drag it to the garbage can.

Changing a Color
To change a color, either drag a color swatch from your work space and drop it on the surface you want to change or click on it with the bucket to bring up the color browser.

Menu items:

File>Save...
You must have a registered account to use this option. You can either “save” an image or “save as.” “Save” replaces the current image. “Save as” will create a new image. The new image will appear next to the original photo in your account page. You won’t need to redo any of your work the next time you open the image. All information about objects and colors will be saved.

File>Load...
This option is only available to users with a premium account. Use it to upload a new photo from your computer.

File>Share...
Registered users can share photos. Use the pop-up link to send your photos to your family and friends.

File>Download...
Use this option to download a JPEG file of your image.

File>Close
Close the photo and return to your account page.

Colors>New...
This option opens the color browser. The colors you pick will appear in the work space around the photo.

Colors>Remove all
This option will remove all color swatches from your work space.

Colors>Before/After
This option will remove all color swatches from your work space.

Help>Manual
This option will send you to this help page.
